Know every Christian man alive,
In seventeen hundred thirty five,
The second day of May, the hour;
To tell you, is not in my power,

letter by J. Free from a late London magazine, about a
quarrel between Squire Ingram of Great-Woolford, in
Warwichshire, and the Curate of the same place.  The poem
was written by the Curate as a receipt to the Squire for his
Easter offering of only six pence.]
